Alex Christensen – U96

Producer/songwriter/DJ Alex Christensen is a BMI and Echo Winner with numerous nominations. Alex Christensen joined the music scene 1987 and quickly established himself as one of the industries premier producers. With his groundbreaking song “Das Boot” 1991 he invented Techno music and established the techno sound as chart music from then on. The song reached in 22 countries a number one position, incl 13 weeks (the second longest no 1) in Germany. With U96 he sold over 15 millions records, and performed in a movie called “Cyberman” together with Christina Applegate and James Marshall. He played along DJ icons, as Sven Väth, Westbam and Moby all over the world. Throughout the 90ties and up to today, he produced Right Marky Mark, Jose Carreras, N’Sync, U96, ATC, Sarah Brightman, Natasha Thomas, Rollergirl, Yvonne Catterfeld and produced and invented the Bravo All Stars with the Backstreet Boys He also hold the record for the most radio played record in Germany with ATC “Around the world”, until he was defeaded by Kylies “Can’t get you out of my head”. Along this he produced the multi platinum comeback Album “Rock Swings” with Paul Anka. This record was nominated for 2 grammys. In 2006 he produced another swing album with two-time Grammy Winner Michael Bolton. He just finished Paul Ankas “Rock Swings 2” with duets with Michael Buble, Charles Aznavour and Bon Jovi, and the world best studio musicians and arrangers (e.g. Al Schmitt (Robbie Wiliams etc.). He still lives in Hamburg most of the time and in Mallorca and Los Angeles.
